Merle Randlepp
I started working as a programmer in the web world when the web was only 5 years old, in 1994. At that time, I studied mathematics at the University of Tartu, and everything related to computers seemed very new and exciting. After my studies, I worked for a long time as a web developer, then moved on to become an IT analyst, development team lead, IT project manager, and finally, a CEO.
I have had the fortune and privilege to work with brilliant experts in the IT world and jointly create landmark software products in the Estonian web landscape.
Before starting my work as an Agile Coach, I worked for 7 years as a Scrum Master in various international development teams. In the Scrum Master role, the majority of my projects involved creating digital solutions for major clients of the digital agency Wunder, as well as smaller startup–projects.
I studied informatics at the University of Tartu and have obtained professional certifications: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II), Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) (Scrum.org).
Today, after extensive work as a Scrum Master, I have transitioned into the Agile Coach role and have been an external consultant and trainer since 2020. I work with multiple organizations and teams simultaneously, and it is an incredibly exciting journey every day.

My mission is to pass on accumulated knowledge and help spread the Agile mindset, by writing a blog and organizing various trainings and workshops. I have also taught software development in various schools to provide young people with a broader choice in IT education.
By training others, I also continuously learn and develop further. I love my work and do it with passion.
Experience
Thanks to my long-term experience as a software project manager, I have experienced the various benefits of the Agile development process and can advise teams on WHY a specific practice will bring success in a given situation.
Having been in the role of a developer and technical architect for many years, I can see technological aspects in addition to business needs.
I started entrepreneurship right after university and have been a private sector entrepreneur my entire life. In leadership roles, both in a small Estonian company with 20+ people and as a Country Manager in an international company with 150+ people, I have learned something very important: how to build a business culture focused on workplace happiness.
Together with capable teams, I have built various software products such as Estonia’s most popular content management software Saurus CMS (2002-2014), the public sector’s first common web platform Valitsusportaal (2013-2014), the employee peer-to-peer feedback app HUGS (2019), and participated as a consultant in the ticket sales startup Fienta (2017).
I have been a mentor and coach, conducted trainings and IT audits, served in a client supervision role, and participated as a consultant in many different projects.
In 2018, I completed a training at TalTech titled “Expert-level Data Protection Specialist (DPO)” and subsequently conducted several data protection mappings for companies and even started a small GDPR blog, but today it has simply become useful background information for business analysis.
