Workshop: Agile Team Roles

The Agile Team Roles workshop helps to define the boundaries of each team member’s area of responsibility. The Agile approach places a strong focus on clear role distribution and decision-making models.

Example situations where the Agile Team Roles workshop can help the team progress:

  • team members are unsure how development decisions are made
  • there is confusion in decision-making – it is unclear who should make different decisions, leading to diffused responsibility and delayed decisions
  • team members sometimes have different expectations regarding each other’s tasks
  • general dissatisfaction with team communication and collaboration
  • a newly formed team where roles are not yet clearly defined

In the workshop, we map out each team member’s main responsibilities and place them in the appropriate position within the agile development role model.

Objective

<p>To reach a common agreement with the team on whose responsibility different development decisions fall and how they are made. After the training, each team member will clearly know their own tasks, what to expect from other team members, and how decisions are made. </p>

Format

<ul> <li>Duration <strong>4 hours. </strong><br>Recommended time is the first half of the day.</li> <li><strong>Internal training</strong> in the customer's premises. (If desired, it is also possible to order a training room and catering) </li> <li>The language of communication is Estonian or English, the <strong>materials are in English only</strong>.</li> </ul>

Cost

<p>The total cost of the training <strong>for a group of up to 10 participants </strong>is</p> <p><strong> 1500 € + VAT.</strong></p> <p>In the case of a larger group, ask for a personal offer.</p> <p>The price of the training includes:</p> <ul> <li>Preparatory communication with the customer, where we specify the goals and set the focus</li> <li>Written summary of the results of the workshop</li> <li>training materials in digital format</li> </ul>

<p>My name is <a href=""/my-story-merle-randlepp/"" data-et-target-link=""_blank"" rel=""noopener" noreferrer="">Merle Randlepp</a> and I can share with you the practical experience I have gained over the years in the field of software development. <strong>I have worked in the field of software development for 25+ years and trained for 5+ years as my main activity.</strong></p> <p>I am an <strong>agile software development</strong> trainer, independent consultant and <strong>certified Scrum Master (PSM I, PSM II).</strong> I studied computer science at the University of Tartu and started working in the technology sector in 1994, when the web world was only 5 years old.
