Agile Team Roles
Workshop: Agile Team Roles
The Agile Team Roles workshop helps to define the boundaries of each team member’s area of responsibility. The Agile approach places a strong focus on clear role distribution and decision-making models.
Example situations where the Agile Team Roles workshop can help the team progress:
- team members are unsure how development decisions are made
- there is confusion in decision-making – it is unclear who should make different decisions, leading to diffused responsibility and delayed decisions
- team members sometimes have different expectations regarding each other’s tasks
- general dissatisfaction with team communication and collaboration
- a newly formed team where roles are not yet clearly defined
In the workshop, we map out each team member’s main responsibilities and place them in the appropriate position within the agile development role model.
This is a practical workshop for solving a specific problem; if you are interested in agility more generally, see the Agility Basics Training.

"The training left a very good impression. The trainer allowed a lot of discussion, and it was more of a practical training, with theory playing a supporting role. It was especially good to hear about the concerns and joys of colleagues regarding their own teams."
"Very compact and clear presentation – it revealed the essence of agility and prompted us to reflect on our work and how we do it. Thank you!"
"Conveyed very clearly, systematically, and sufficiently simply and understandably."
"On a scale of 10, I give it 10 points! I usually don't like group work at all, but the ones in this training were very engaging and useful. What was learned could be immediately applied to real projects."
"It was evident that the lecturer is strong in both theory and practice, and it was interesting to listen to them."
"Very interesting training – the pace was fast, the material specific and expert. I really liked the visual materials and references, which could be explored independently after the training. Also, that you respected the schedule :)"
"Very useful. I liked that you allowed time for team discussions and didn't rush us. Many group exercises helped clarify concepts, content, and practical applicability. 10 points!"
"Interesting topic, well-structured lecture, lecturer very professional in their field, good practical examples, easily explained"
"It's good to listen to a practitioner. I have always liked such training courses and find them very useful."
