Scrum Master Training

Scrum Master in the Age of AI

2026: New and Updated Program – Now with Two Trainers

What is the Role of a Scrum Master in Today’s AI World?

The Scrum Master’s role is not disappearing – it is changing and evolving.

The Scrum Master is no longer merely a ‘ceremony facilitator.’ In today’s world, they are a key team member who helps manage the human-AI symbiosis and maintain ethical boundaries.

Scrum was born to manage complexity through empiricism: transparency > inspection > adaptation. This journey is not over. On the contrary, in the AI era, it is needed more than ever.

AI does not automatically reduce complexity. It adds a new ‘team member’ – an AI agent – who has:

 • a different work pace and rhythm,
 • a different quality profile (including hallucinations and confident errors),
 • new risks (data leakage, copyright, bias),
 • new ethical questions (what is permissible, what is responsible, who holds responsibility).

Precisely for this reason, the agile discipline of inspection and adaptation becomes even more critical: the team must collectively learn how to use AI safely, wisely, and purposefully.

Scrum Master’s new mission

The primary focus is no longer ‘work management’.
The primary focus is ‘managing human-AI symbiosis’.

“AI will not replace Scrum Masters. Scrum Masters who use AI will replace those who don’t.”

– Jeff Sutherland, Co-creator of Scrum

Preparatory Course for the Scrum Master Certification Exam

The Scrum Master training provides comprehensive knowledge and skills for working in the Scrum Master role. The training answers questions such as:

 • What does the Scrum development framework consist of and how is it used?
 • What are the Scrum Master’s tasks and responsibilities?
 • How to create and support a well-functioning development team with good relationships?
 • How to help the team develop the ability to work with AI without compromising quality, ethics, and value?

The training is also suitable for preparing for the Professional Scrum Master I certification exam. Participants will receive practical advice on taking the exam and online practice tests, as well as the option to order exam vouchers.

This is a comprehensive role-based training; a lighter and shorter Scrum Master Basic Training is suitable for beginners.

Why Choose This Specific Scrum Master Training?

Many Scrum Master trainings are offered, with a particularly large selection of English-language online courses. This training is aimed at the Estonian market and stands out from most Scrum Master trainings:

 1. The training takes place in person in Tallinn and therefore has a completely different energy than virtual online trainings.
 2. The training will be held in Estonian. Although we all speak English well, learning is more effective when the language barrier is smaller. Written materials are in English to ensure accurate terminology. If desired, the training can also be ordered in spoken English.
 3. The proportion of active learning – workshops and exercises – is at least 70%. We learn best by doing.
 4. Participants receive practical advice and tips on how to successfully pass the Scrum Master certification exam. The training content fully covers the topics of the PSM I certification exam.
 5. The trainer has 25+ years of practical IT experience, the necessary certification for training, and experience training hundreds of people.
 6. Participants in the training are from Estonia, share a common IT scene, and sharing experience stories adds significant value.

Koolituse edukal läbimisel saab osaleja tunnistuse. Edukaks läbimiseks loetakse terves mahus koolitusel osalemist ja õpiväljundite saavutamist. Õpiväljundite saavutamist hinnatakse praktiliste tööde käigus.

PSM I Certificate

The Professional Scrum Master I certificate is lifelong and, unlike the alternative Certified ScrumMaster certificate, does not require renewal every 2 years (renewal fee is approximately 100 USD).

Another difference compared to applying for the CSM certificate is the option to take the exam without completing any training. The price of one exam voucher is 200 USD, which anyone can purchase directly from the Scrum.org website, and it grants one attempt.

On the other hand, the PSM I exam is more difficult than the CSM exam and requires a thorough conceptual understanding of the Scrum development framework.

(More information about different Scrum Master certificates can be found in the <a href=""https://blog.twn.ee/et/mis-on-scrum-master-sertifikaat"" target=""_blank"" rel=""noopener"">TWN blog post. )

The Scrum.org PSM I exam lasts 60 minutes and contains 80 questions. The passing threshold for the exam is 85%. The exam can be taken online at any time, and the exam voucher does not expire.

It is recommended that after the Scrum Master training, you independently complete a sufficient number of online practice tests and only attempt the actual exam after achieving a sufficiently good (95-100%) result in the practice tests.

Team Coach, PCC

Reesi Valge

I am Reesi Valge, an accredited coach and I obtained the highest internationally recognized team coach qualification at the Global Team Coaching Institute. I have experience in leading several very multifaceted teams both in Estonia and abroad, and as a result, I came to the conclusion almost six years ago that it is as a coach that I can create the most value. This is how Realcoach was born.

During these six years, I have coached a number of top managers and smaller and larger teams. This experience has given me a broad knowledge base that I use to create and develop specialized methods, tools, processes, trainings and workshops.
